In addition to our weekly classes, our Drama School Burton, Newhall and Derby holds both an Easter School in April and a Summer School in August every year. These holiday workshops have run successfully for 10 years; endless numbers of students have taken part and created a show in a week... that's no small task! Here, children between the ages of 5-18 years can come along and learn the songs, dances and drama from famous musicals and then perform in a full performance at the end of the week in front of family and friends.
To date our Easter and Summer Schools have included: An African Experience (2008), High School Musical (2009) The Wizard of Oz (2010) Oliver (2011) Disney’s Aladdin (2012) Disney’s Alice in Wonderland (Easter 2013) Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (Summer 2013) Disney's The Jungle Book (Easter 2014) Sweeney Todd (Easter 2014) Fame (Summer 2014) Disney's The Aristocats (Easter 2015) Disney's The Little Mermaid (Summer 2015) Disney's Peter Pan (Easter 2016) Annie (Summer 2016) Madagascar (Easter 2017) The Addams Family (Summer 2017) Hairspray (Easter 2018) Matilda (Summer 2018) Footloose (Easter 2019) Wizard of Oz (Summer 2019) and Moana (Summer 2021)

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is one blockbuster that audiences will find "Truly Scrumptious."
Eccentric inventor, Caractacus Potts, sets about restoring an old race car with the help of his children Jeremy and Jemima. They soon discover the car is magic, and has the ability to take flight. When the evil Baron Bomburst desires the magic car for himself, the family joins forces with Truly Scrumptious and Grandpa Potts to outwit the dastardly Baron and Baroness and their villainous henchman, the Child Catcher.
Everyday your child will be busy learning the songs, dances and drama to then perform the full show on the final day in front of family and friends. Students will need to bring a packed lunch with them everyday.
